Put 66music on your home screen

66music is a website that installs like an app — no store, no download, and it opens full-screen without the browser around it.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open this site in Safari. (Chrome and Firefox on iOS can do it too, from their own share menus — Safari is just the surest path.)
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with the arrow pointing up. On an iPhone it sits in the middle of the bottom bar; on an iPad it is at the top of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. Tap “Add” in the top corner. 66music appears with your apps.

One iPhone thing worth knowing: the ringer switch silences web audio. If the site seems mute, check the switch on the side.

Android

Chrome shows “Install app” (on some versions, “Add to Home screen”) in the ⋮ menu — or accepts the install banner when it offers one.

Desktop

Chrome and Edge show an install icon at the right end of the address bar. Firefox and Safari open the site normally — nothing is lost either way; the installed version is the same product.
