Draft, pending legal review.These terms are written to be clear rather than clever, but they have not yet been checked by a lawyer, and the definition of “lifetime” below is awaiting the owner's sign-off. They are published so the wording can be reviewed, not because they are final.
1. What this is
66music is a practice tool for guitar, piano, bass and drums, used in a web browser. By using it you agree to what is on this page.
2. Audio you open is yours, and it stays yours
The 66loops tool opens audio files from your own computer. When you do that:
- You confirm you have the right to use that audio. You must own it, have bought it, or otherwise be allowed to use it for practice. We have no way to check, and it is your responsibility.
- We receive no copy of it and no licence to it. The file is decoded inside your browser and is not uploaded to us. We do not store it, transmit it, analyse it on a server, or gain any right to use it for anything — not to improve the product, not to train anything, not at all.
- There is deliberately no clause on this page granting us a licence to your content. Most services have one. We do not, because we do not receive your content.
3. What you may not do
- Do not use 66music to circumvent copy protection. It will not open audio from a streaming service, and you must not attempt to make it.
- Do not share your account. One account is one person.
- Do not redistribute the exercises, recordings, tab or notation. They are the product.
- Do not attempt to bypass the free-tier limits.
4. What we do on our side
The exercises are processed in your browser. We keep an account for you, remember what you have practised if you ask us to, and count page visits so we know whether anyone is using the thing. What that means in detail is on the privacy page.
5. Paying
Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. The self-service cancel button is not built yet — until it is, one email cancels it, and we will not ask you why. Refunds are covered on the refunds page: thirty days, no questions.
What “lifetime” means
Proposed wording, awaiting sign-off. A founding lifetime purchase is a one-off payment that gives access to 66music for as long as 66music continues to operate as a service. It is never re-billed. It covers every instrument room that exists at the time of purchase, and every one added afterwards, at no extra cost.
It does notmean the lifetime of the purchaser, and it cannot promise that the service will run forever — no honest business can promise that. If 66music ever shuts down, lifetime holders will be given at least ninety days' notice and the ability to export anything they have saved.
6. Founding offers
Founding prices are limited in number and close on a stated date. Once the number is gone or the date passes, the offer is gone with it and will not quietly return. A founding subscription price stays at the price you signed up at for as long as you keep the subscription without a break.
7. Ending things
You can have your account deleted at any time — ask, and it goes. The self-service delete button is planned rather than built. We can close an account that breaks section 3, and if we do we will say which part and refund any unused subscription time.
8. The boring but necessary part
66music is a practice tool. It is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will be available without interruption or that it will suit any particular purpose. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law, which in most places cannot be signed away — and if anything on this page conflicts with that law, the law wins.
9. Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so before the change takes effect rather than after. A price you have already paid does not change retroactively.
