264 bass lines across the four scale families plus 66 more in a triplet feel, each in all 12 keys. The bass is the handshake between the drums and everything else, and the grooves open on the root and lead back to the downbeat.
How a groove is practised
See it on a four-string fretboard, in bass-clef notation — because that is where a bass lives — or as tab. Hear it on a real recorded bass or a synth. Change the key, slow it down, repeat it until it sits. Then chain grooves in order, and chain the chains into basslines of your own. The scales and arpeggios workshop is in the same room.
Limits
Triplet grooves show tab and fretboard rather than engraved notation — proper triplet engraving is real typesetting we have not done, and a stave rounded onto the wrong grid would be worse than none.
