What this doesn’t do yet
Every instrument page here states its limits next to its features. This page gathers them, because you should not have to hunt for the catch.
Not yet
- Engraved triplet notation. The triplet sets show timing-true views — tab, fretboard, falling keys, the drum grid — rather than fully engraved staves. Rounding triplets onto a straight grid would print something you would practise wrongly, so until the engraving pass is done, we do not print it.
- Notation for guitar chains. Guitar chains show tab and waveform only. The guitar is recorded audio, not score data, so it cannot offer the notation views the other three rooms have.
- A teacher area. The ear-training school is single-player. Teacher accounts with student invites are planned, not built.
- Chord transcription in the loop tool. 66loops transcribes single-line playing to MIDI. It will not attempt chords, and it says so rather than guessing. It also refuses to state a tempo it is not confident of.
- MIDI input. Not supported in any browser here, and not currently planned. (Safari could not have it anyway — it has no Web MIDI at all.)
Never
- Ingesting from YouTube or Spotify. The loop tool opens files you own, from a file picker, full stop.
- Advertising or tracking pixels. None. Not Meta, not Google Ads, not TikTok.
- Lyrics, tab or notation of copyrighted songs. The exercises are ours; other people's songs stay other people's.
